delish! Catering and Events was created in 2008 by Mary Berg, formally of Simple Pleasures Catering, where she catered everything from Elaborate Weddings and Private Parties to Corporate Events since 2001.

In 2007 Simple Pleasures was nominated by KC Magazine as one of the ‘Best Caterers’ in Kansas City and the newly designed delish! was most recently named one of the Top Catering Companies in Kansas City in the January 2009 edition of Kansas City Magazine!!

Mary is also distinguished as a culinary instructor at Johnson County Community College, one of the top three culinary arts institutes in the United States, where she has taught since 2001.  “It is both fulfilling and extremely invigorating to teach this countries up and coming chefs – keeping me on the cutting edge of the most exciting culinary arts environment in the nation”, Mary Berg

Mary began her culinary career as an Apprentice Chef 15 years ago where she worked at Club 427, Starker’s and The Classic Cup in Westport, where she became the Head Chef.

While working for the Herford House Corporation in 1999 she was selected as one of the key team members at the Grand Opening of Union Station.

delish!  is dedicated to working towards operating in the most eco-friendly environment.  From back of the house practices, to creating menus featuring sustainable and organic foods, our team continues to use best practice methods to achieve this goal!  As an active participant in our community, delish! is extremely proud to utilize local producers for the finest and purest ingredients available.
